No-Limit Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker competitor on the globe by most of the top professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching the age of one. His papa showed him to penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wanted to pickup whatever he possibly could about poker. Phil routinely told his grandparents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. He didn’t allow the detrimental comments from others kill his goal of being one of the strongest poker competitors on the planet.
He started playing intently after acquiring a fake ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his skills at the casinos in Atlantic City. The first number of years for him were a teaching opportunity and winning was not a regular outcome at the time. He became known at the 2000 WSOP where he achieved 2 final tables and won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the closing table he destroyed quite a few of the well known professionals including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil decided to take his game to the successive level and moved out west to Las Vegas. He continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to dedication and an eternal passion for poker. Phil states that he is picking up skills every day and is quite humble about his success. He admits to making mistakes every single game of poker and always aspires to get better.
Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some big-time tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a normal basis.
