No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker contender on the planet by many of the top-ranked professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching turning 1. His papa showed him to one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wished to pickup anything he could about poker. He would tell his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not let the detrimental comments from others destroy his goal of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.
He started competing intently after getting a false ID with the name of Jerome. He honed his game at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for him were a teaching opportunity and winning was not a regular thing at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 WSOP when he achieved two final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, 500 Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the last table he destroyed quite a few of the better known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his game to the next level and headed out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to discipline and a continuing love for poker. Phil states that he is learning every single day and is incredibly abashed about his achievements. Phil admits to making mistakes every single session of poker and always aspires to get better.
Even though Ivey has won some big-time tournaments, he likes destroying cash games on a regular basis.
