No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the number one poker player on the globe by quite a few of the top pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching turning 1. His grandfather taught him one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to pickup whatever he could about poker. He routinely told his parents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil did not allow the negative comments from other people destroy his goal of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.
He began playing seriously after getting a false ID with the name of Jerome. He sharpened his abilities at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for Phil were a teaching period and coming away with a win wasn’t a regular outcome at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 WSOP where he achieved 2 final tables and came away with his first WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the final table he destroyed many of the well known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his game to the next level and headed out west to Vegas. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to hard work and an immeasurable love for poker. He states that he’s learning every single day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. He knows he makes errors every single game of poker and constantly aspires to improve.
Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some big-time tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a regular basis.
