Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker competitor on the planet by quite a few of the top-ranked pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching the age of 1. At the closing table he defeated quite a few of the well known professionals including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil decided to take his skills to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his success to dedication and a continuing passion for poker. Phil says that he is learning every day and is incredibly humble about his accomplishments. He knows he makes blunders every single game of poker and constantly strives to improve.

Even though Phil has won some large tournaments, he favors winning money games on a normal basis.
